Some beautiful mbiras

Making their crackling sound

Doundoun talking’s growing

Frank and loud

A slit drum is leadin   

The whole lot frames a beat

Wafting over the ground 

Dialogue of shoulders and feet

Dancers are calling

Water on their skin   

Rain is steadily pouring

Makes them spin, spin, spin

A warm and dazzling kora

Weaves its sparkling song

Into the keen licks of a strat

Restless all night long

A self-made hi-hat is clanging

Some bludgeons shaping sheet

A bell is forging time shape

To dance in trance and heat

Dancers are calling

Water on their skin   

Rain is steadily pouring

Makes them spin, spin, spin 2x
